Handcrafted from quartersawn beech, this reeding plane creates reeding made up of 3/16" wide beads.
To start, slightly tilt the plane so that the boxing catches the edge of the stock. During the first few passes, work your way back to vertical. With the first bead cut, then start working across the face of the stock. Once the first bead is formed, each subsequent bead tracks in the previously cut bead. This allows you to add as many beads as you would like to your reeding.
